What I Shoot With

I started out in December 2007 with a Canon EOS 350D (Rebel XT), which was a gift from my now-husband.

The 350D came with the kit lens, the Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-4.5.

In November 2009, I bought my first prime lens, the Canon EF 50mm f/1.4.

In February 2010, I bought my second prime lens (the addiction had begun), the Canon EF 85mm f/1.8.

I had been struggling with full-frame lust ever since I'd gotten the 50mm, so in March 2010, I bought a used Canon EOS 5D:

In April 2010, an amazing thing happened. With the help of a bonus at work and a gift card I had from my birthday, the Canon EF 135mm f/2L became mine. Easily the sharpest lens I now own.

And so, after six months of furious buying, I finally feel like I have a small kit that I can do a lot with.

I do have a wish list, though (of course!), and topping it is the Canon EF 24mm f/1.4L II. Coming in at a distant second and third are the Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L and the Canon EOS 5D Mark II.
